The Adidas RisingstarxR1 is one of the more daring entries in the Originals archive hybrid series — released in 2018 as part of the Never Made Pack, it asks a simple question: what if Adidas had taken its most iconic vintage silhouettes and dropped them onto the NMD R1 platform? The answer is a head-on collision between two generations of Adidas running design that shouldn’t work on paper but absolutely does in person. The retro 1980s Rising Star upper — crinkled silver metallic leather and premium grey suede overlays — sits directly on the NMD R1’s ultra-responsive, cushioned full-length Boost midsole with its iconic black and blue NMD stability plugs. Bold red ribbed three-stripes, red heel counter, and a blue lateral Boost plug complete the palette. The result is a shoe that carries the heritage credentials of a terrace classic with the underfoot performance architecture of one of Adidas’s most successful modern silhouettes. Deadstock, brand new in box with tags.

The Never Made Pack was a bold creative exercise in Adidas archive thinking — and the RisingstarxR1 is its most visually striking result. The silver metallic Rising Star upper catches light in a way few shoes do, and the Boost underfoot makes this far more than a shelf piece. A deadstock pair from the 2018 release in this colourway is increasingly hard to find. Comes in the original black Adidas box.
