The Adidas Originals Athen "Japanese Athen" (GW1398) is a premium collector's release dropped as an exclusive colourway with retailer Size? — a limited-edition 2022 re-issue paying direct homage to an iconic, ultra-rare 1990s release that was originally entirely exclusive to the Japanese market.

Built on the low-profile terrace runner silhouette based on the 1968 classic, this head-turning pair features a butter-soft purple suede upper beautifully contrasted by vibrant solar yellow leather overlays across the signature serrated three stripes and heel tab. Finished with classic gold foil "Athen" lettering on the side panel and a durable, low-profile dark gum rubber outsole — it completely embodies vintage European and Asian sports culture.
